This study sought to investigate the impact of immigrant labour on unemployment in South Africa. for the period 1980-2010.This relationship was examined using Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) method. Unemployment was regressed againstimmigration, the Gross Domestic Product, inflation and education. The research aimed to establish whether immigrant labourcontributes to unemployment in the manner suggested by the econometric model. The result showed a positive relationshipbetween immigration and unemployment in South Africa. © MCSER-Mediterranean Center of Social and Educational Research.
